Short Walks

EXTRA SHORT WALK 4 miles 320 feet of ascent

The Extra Short walk has been altered.

It is now a linear walk from Addingham to Bolton Abbey by way of the Dales Way. The intention is to get the service bus back from Bolton Abbey to Addingham (this leaves Bolton Abbey at 12:35, 13:39 and 15:55)

For anyone who would prefer to walk back to Addingham it is an easy walk back down the Dales Way with only 250 feet of ascent.

SHORT WALK 6.5 miles 1100 feet of ascent

​South out of Addingham, across A65 then footpath to Throstle Nest and a short stretch east along Cocking Lane. South east past Netherwood Farm and Briery Wood Farm then east and then south (Heber's Gill) to join Dales High Way and Millennium Way. go west to Black Hill and follow Dales High Way back into Addingham.

Medium Walk

MEDIUM WALK 9 miles 

​North east out of Addingham past West Hall, Leyfield Farm and Beacon Hill House. Climb Howber Hill then back down to Howber Hill Farm before turning north and following footpaths past Ling Chapel Farm and up to Back O' Th' Hill Farm. Now turn south to Bolton Bridge and follow the Dales Way back to Addingham

Long Walk

LONG WALK 14 miles 

​As medium walk as far as Ling Chapel Farm then

 north east along footpath past Howgill Side and Farm to Hill End.. Take the road west to Hazlewood then tracks up onto Hazlewood Moor passing Cowmes Hill before heading west then south west to Bolton Park Farm. Now join the Dales Way and take it back to Addingham.​
