The popularity of walking as a fitness activity is growing by leaps and bounds.
Low risk and easy to start, walking has health benefits in numerous studies and a regular walking program can help:

WALK ORGANISERS AND LEADERS
The club is looking for volunteers to organise and lead future walks.

or come along to a committee meeting to find out
what is involved.
FIRST AIDERS
For the benefit of all members the club is looking for volunteers to act as first aiders.
A short training course can be arranged
by the club which will cover the necessary requirements.

We are a friendly bunch of people, interested in walking. Our group consists of all age ranges and abilities.
We meet once a month on a Sunday morning for a choice of three guided walks to various locations.
Each monthly walk is led by three walk Leaders one for each walk. You have a choice of walking a short, medium or long walk on every outing and you can pick a distance that suits your personal walking level each month.
Meeting on the 2nd Sunday of every month at Station Lane, Pontefract
(at the junction of Southgate and Friarwood Lane) which leads to Baghill railway Station.
If you would like to come along and try a walk, discover more about the club and meet some of our members , just turn up and join the queue for the coach, between 7.30 - 7.45am, the coach departs at 8.00am.
