SUNDAY 10th APRIL- Hunters Bar, Endcliffe Park, Sheffield - ALL LINEAR WALKS

Walks taking in Porter Valley, Bingham Park, Whiteley Woods, Mayfield Vallley, Porter Clough, Redmires Reservoirs and Stanage Edge

SHORT

LINEAR WALK

Linear walk from Endcliffe Park the route follows the Porter Valley out of Sheffield through Bingham Park and Whiteley Woods Into the Mayfield Valley and Porter Clough (short gradual climb here).  Along the route there are seven mill dams along Porter Brook with all the associated wildfowl. The route continues to Ringinglow and the Round House then on to Houndkirk Lane a bridle path alongside Lady Cannings Wood.  Cross between Burbage and Houndkirk Moors to the finish at The Fox House Inn.

MEDIUM

LINEAR WALK

Following the same route as the short walk to the top of Porter Clough,

the route then follows Fulwood Lane and crosses fields to reach Redmires Reservoirs. Taking the path on the South side of the Reservoirs the route skirts woodland to reach Stanage Pole then across moorland to Stanage Edge. 

The route then follows the Sheffield Country Way to Upper Burbage Bridge then

Burbage Rocks and onwards to reach The Fox House Inn.

LONG

LINEAR WALK

The Long walk follows the same route as the medium walk but on reaching Redmires Reservoir the route heads North along Wyming Brook.

It then goes through the Nature Reserve to reach Rivelin Dams. The route heads East along the valley and then climbs heading South up Head Stone Bank.

Continuing South the route crosses moorland to Redmires Reservoirs again joining the Medium Walk route to finish at The Fox House Inn.
