The route follows the same paths as the Medium Walk to Hardtoft Road picnic area. The route then follows the Tibshelf Walk through Nether Pilsley and farmland to Tibshelf Ponds. A short circular route through the ponds re-joins The Five Pits Trail and heads North back to Hardtoft picnic area. The path then follows the Medium Walk route back to Heath.

The route follows the same paths as the Short Walk to Highfields then goes South West on the North Wingfield Walk to Waterloo then South East on the Pilsley Walk to Hardtoft Road picnic area. The route then turns North to follow The Five Pits Trail to Timber Lane Farm and picnic area then on to Holmewood and Heath on the same route as the Short Walk

The route goes West from Heath across farmland to pass North of Holmewood on The Five Pits Trail through woodland passing Williamthorpe Ponds. Heading South West to Pass Wolfie Pond the route turns South East through Highfields. At Timber Lane Farm picnic area the route turns back North East returning to Holmwood and then East to Heath.
