SUNDAY 14th APRIL- HAWES, Wensleydale
SHORT
CIRCULAR WALK
From the Dales Countryside Museum the walk heads N/NE to Sedbusk. It then goes up Shutt Lane and turns NW to climb up to High Clint with dramatic views of the valley below.
Following the escarpment towards Great Sunner Fell and onto Buttertubs Pass. Here the road turns South to follow Fossdale Gill to Hardraw Force Falls accessed via the Green Dragon for a small fee. At Hardraw village the route follows the Pennine way S/SE back to Hawes.
** There is a flatter 4.5m walk for walkers who dont want to climb too much. It goes West out of Hawes then North through Appersett then North to reach the Pennine way then through Hardraw back to Hawes

MEDIUM
CIRCULAR WALK
From the Museum the route goes through Hawes then turns South past the Wenslydale creamery to Gayle village. Heading East the route climbs steadily to the Cam Road track and heads almost South again climbing steadily to the Cam High Road.
Weather permitting, there are great views of all of the Yorkshire Three Peaks. The route follows the High Road North East to Bear Head then NW downhill to Gayle then Hawes. There are fantastic views into Wesleydale on this descent.

CIRCULAR WALK
Initially the walk follows the same route as the Medium Walk initially then takes the Pennine Way NW through Hawes and climbs up to Hearne Top.
We then follow the edge of the escarpment then South through woodland to Cotterdale. From here the route heads West to High Dyke and meets The High Way track.
Then head SE then South downhill to follow the River Ure to Appersett then back into Hawes.
