SHORT

CIRCULAR WALK

Very Short Walk - 4 to 5 miles - leader Andrea Robinson

The walk goes from Clapham through the Ingleborough Estate (which has a fee of £1) North along Clapham Beck to Ingleborough Cave and Trow Gill Cave and possibly on to Gaping Gill and then back to Clapham.

 

Short Walk - John Robinson & Keith King

The walk goes from Clapham to the East of Clapham Beck up Long Lane to reack Trow Gill Cave. The route goes East to Long Scar then South East to Crummack then South to the village of Wharfe then West along Twaite Lane back to Clapham.

The walk has one short steep climb and two longer gradual climbs on packed stone bridleways and grassy tracks.

Total ascent 1000 ft.

MEDIUM

CIRCULAR WALK

 The walk goes from Clapham to the East of Clapham Beck up Long Lane to reach Trow Gill Cave. The route goes North West past Gaping Gill and on to climb Little Ingleborough then North to climb Ingleborough.

The route goes East for a couple of miles on the Dale High Way then South to Long Scar then South East to Crummack then South on Crummack Lane then West along Thwaite Lane back to Clapham.

The route has a number of steep climbs and longer gradual climbs. Total ascent 2300 ft.

LONG

CIRCULAR WALK

The Medium Walk can be extended by 3 miles around Wharfe and Austwick villages if time permits.

 

Please Note :-

It could take up to 2 hours to reach Clapham restricting the time available to complete each walk.  Choose a walk that you are capable of completeing in the time available.

 

The coach will park in the main car park where toilets are available. Refreshments are available at Clapham Cafe Bunk and Bar at the car park exit or The New Inn in the village centre.
