SUNDAY 25th JULY- GLOSSOP, Derbyshire High Peak District - OL1 Dark Peak
DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS This walk has uniquely been rescheduled from the usual 2nd week of the month to the 25th.
The market town of Glossop is the north western gateway to the Peak District and Derbyshire - close to the rugged moorland and wide open spaces of the Dark Peak. Nestling at the foot of the famous Snake Pass, it's an excellent base for exploring some of the area's classic walking country.
SHORT
CIRCULAR WALK
Low level walk around Glossop through Whitfield and Moorfield to Mossy Lea farm and old Glossop, then as per the Easy short walk which is to cross the fields to Padfield, returning to Glossop via Lower Dinting, this starts from Glossop railway station heading for the Swineshaw Reservoir. (4.5 miles)

CIRCULAR WALK
As short walk through Whitfield, then over Brownhill to Gnat Hole. Uphill to trig point at Harry Hut then bear slight left over boggy bit to paved footpath. Turn left to Topmill Hill follow Pennine Way, over A57 turning left on reaching footpath, down Doctors Gate back to Glossop.

CIRCULAR WALK
Follow the short walk as far as Padfield then take the Longdendale Trail as far as Crowden then the Pennine Way to the top of Bleaklow.
Continue along the Pennine Way returning back to Glossop via the Doctors Gate footpath.
