Further information:
Hebden Bridge is a market town in West Yorkshire, England.
It is in the Upper Calder Valley, 8 miles (13 km) west of Halifax and
14 miles (21 km) north-east of Rochdale, at the confluence of the River Calder and the River Hebden.
In past times the arrival of the canal and railway attracted industry to the valley bottoms, but with limited flat land and a growing army of textile workers, dwellings were ingeniously built on the valley sides, giving the town its characteristic double-decker housing.

The Robin Hood Inn was originally a coaching inn dating back to the 17th Century. Legends abound around the inn, including St Thomas a-Becket drinking from the well. Pecket Well was originally called Becket Well.
The setting around the inn offers splendid views across the Pennines. Ideally placed for Hebden Bridge, and just 1/2 mile from beautiful wooded Hardcastle Crags, and only 4 miles from Bronte country and Haworth. Halifax is also just a short drive away.
